Businessman Maksym Krippa has acquired the Ukrainian game studio GSC Game World, which is known for its cult spectacular projects S.T.A.L.K.E.R<\/a>. and Cossacks. The change of ownership aroused great interest among fans of the Ukrainian computer games industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the latest information, Sergey Grigorovich is no longer the owner of GSC Game World<\/strong>. The new and rather unexpected beneficiary for most gamers is a Ukrainian Maksym Krippa. The information was confirmed by the relevant entries in the Ukrainian and Czech registers made in September 2023. The studio’s owner has changed: the new owner is Maksym Krippa, who, in addition to Ukraine, is also registered in the Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, the studio was owned by Sergey Grigorovich, whose art and talent determined the success and popularity of GSC Game World. The question of the reasons for the change of ownership became particularly relevant due to unexpected changes. GSC Game World was founded in 1995 by Sergey Grigorovich and has since released several successful projects, including Cossacks<\/strong> and S.T.A.L.K.E.R<\/strong>. GSC Game World is a company specializing in the development of computer games, with several successful projects to its credit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A real breakthrough for the Ukrainian company is the game Cossacks: European Wars on Steam, which was released in 2001 and became an object of worldwide recognition. The developers quickly released its add-on, The Last Argument of Kings, and a year later, Cossacks: Back to War on Steam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next project was the second part of the cult game Cossacks II: Napoleonic Wars, which was released in 2005. The following year, an equally interesting and spectacular addition, the Battle for Europe, was presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2014, the company’s founder’s brother Yevhen Gryhorovych headed a new project, preparing the release of the third part of Cossacks. In 2016, Cossacks 3 was released, and in December of the same year, the expansion pack, Days of Splendor, was released. In 2017, four more add-ons were released to the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, the company resumed work on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2<\/strong> after a three-year break. It was only possible to continue the fruitful work in 2022 after the project team was transferred to Prague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
