LLC Maincast, owned by Ukrainian entrepreneur Maksym Krippa, has launched two new TV channels: Maincast Sport and Maincast. The channels will be accessible via OTT services and cable networks. According to the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, broadcasting will begin on November 30, 2024.
Content for Every Viewer
Maincast Sport will focus on sports programming, including live broadcasts of international tournaments featuring Ukrainian athletes. This initiative aims to promote Ukraine’s sporting achievements and draw attention to national teams on the global stage.
The Maincast channel, on the other hand, will provide entertainment programs for a broad audience. Both channels will be exclusively available in Ukrainian, supporting the growth of the national media space.
A New Chapter in Media Development
In addition to the TV channels, Maincast plans to launch its own sports OTT platform—Maincast.tv. According to Vitaliy Volochay, the company’s co-founder, this project aims to develop Ukrainian-language content, which is already in high demand. Volochay emphasized that investments in media and localized broadcasts are key to the success of esports in Ukraine.
Business Expansion Strategy
For Maksym Krippa, this project is part of a broader strategy to expand media assets and attract new audiences. His contributions to the development of esports and IT have repeatedly proven successful. Krippa’s portfolio includes the leading esports team NAVI and the developer of the iconic game S.T.A.L.K.E.R., GSC Game World.

Opening New Opportunities
The launch of these new TV channels creates significant opportunities for Ukraine’s media market, promoting Ukrainian culture and strengthening the country’s position on the international stage.
